Tractor Operator

Operates gasoline or diesel-powered tractor, compost turner, stake bed trucks, and bobcat. Performs all other duties assigned to satisfy the operational requirements of the contract.

• Moves materials, draw implements, tow-trailers, pull out objects embedded in ground, or pull cable of winch to raise, lower, or load heavy material or equipment.
• Operates tractor to mow vegetation along roads, ditches,culvert sand other uneven terrain.
• Fastens attachments such as graders, plows, rollers, mowers (over 2000 lbs.), backhoes, seeders, and disc harrows to tractor, adjusts equipment for proper operation, lubricates and makes minor repairs to tractor and attachments such as tightening bolts, and replacing washers, cotter pins, and screws.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required: Minimum of 2 years of tractor operation experience.

Required: Valid Class C State Driver's License.

• Outdoor work is subject to extreme temperatures, noise, and inclement weather conditions and other conditionsdeterminedby the nature of the job.
• Must be able tolift upto 50 lbs.; stand for an8 hourshift
• Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined,hardand soft surfaces, cementstructuresand surfaces at variable heights.

In addition to the base hourly wage, this position includes a $7.00 per hour fringe benefit rate
, provided in accordance with applicable contract requirements.

The rate for this position is $24.46. This position may also be eligible for a wide range of benefits based on applicable bargaining unit agreements.
