As we continue to grow rapidly, we're looking for motivated individuals to help us achieve our mission of excellence. Givens is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our facilities staff. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently or as part of a team, and isn’t afraid to climb a ladder or work at heights when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings and equipment across Givens property.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and general construction.
- Select appropriate tools and techniques to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all local safety regulations.
- Report hazardous conditions or unserviceable equipment to supervisor.
- Take periodic inventory of maintenance tools and supplies.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Work independently when required and manage time effectively.
Requirements:
- Must not be afraid of heights; ability to climb ladders and work in elevated areas is essential.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in general building maintenance, including work with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
- Must be physically capable of standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working in physically demanding and sometimes uncomfortable positions.
