• Research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software programs, including chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and related equipment such as keyboards, modems, and printers
• Develop software systems that control computers and incorporate new technologies in a rapidly growing range of applications
• Supervise the manufacturing and installation of computers and computer-related equipment
• Analyze users' needs, design, construct, test, and maintain computer applications and systems
• Use programming languages such as C, C++, Java (sometimes Fortran and COBOL) to develop algorithms and solve programming problems
• Apply principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of software and systems
• Address technical problems that arise during development and deployment

Security clearance required at SECRET level.

• 7 years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks
• Strong programming skills with a focus on algorithms and problem analysis

Master’s level degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science.
