Engineer​/Scientist IV

Ignite Digital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering/Scientist IV to support a US Navy software maintenance project. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong experience in software maintenance, and a proven background supporting complex DoW solutions. • Provide senior‑level engineering and scientific support to the project.
• Perform complex software maintenance activities across US Navy‑related systems and solutions.
• Support development, enhancement, and sustainment of software applications within DoW C4
  
  ISR, logistics, maintenance, or other relevant operational environments.
• Apply Agile software methodologies and principles in daily development, maintenance, and integration tasks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot, improve, and optimize software systems.
• Prepare technical documentation, participate in design reviews, and ensure compliance with project and DoD standards.
• Work closely with leadership, stakeholders, and the COR to meet mission objectives.

• Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)
• Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP)
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
• Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD)
• Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
• Sun Certified Professional (SCP)
• Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
• Certified SAFe/Agile Software Engineer
• Certified SAFe Dev Ops Practitioner
• Certified SAFe Architect
• AWS Foundational, Associate, or Professional certifications

• Ten (10) years of experience in software maintenance.
• Five (5) years of technical experience supporting complex software applications and solutions.
• Experience with DoW C4
  
  ISR, logistics, maintenance, or business systems strongly preferred; other relevant industry experience supporting complex enterprise solutions may be accepted with COR approval.
• Demonstrated experience executing Agile software methodologies and principles.
• All required experience may be achieved simultaneously.

• Active Department of the Navy (DoN) SECRET clearance required.
• Candidates without the required clearance cannot be considered.

Salary: $120k+ to align with education & experience
