Position SummarySpivey Services is seeking a delivery driver to work in our rentals department at our Chesapeake location. The candidate must be able to lift 60 lbs. It is a plus for the candidate to be familiar with the Hampton Roads area. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license (0 or plus points) and some experience in driving larger non‑CDL trucks (20′‑24′). A license with negative points will not be accepted.
Candidate needs to be a self‑starter and task‑oriented. Ability to obtain badges for bases is a requirement.
- Safely transport and set up portable toilets at designated locations; retrieve units upon completion of service
- Review daily delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and efficient completion of assigned deliveries
- Load, deliver, and retrieve traffic control equipment to and from job sites
- Complete delivery logs, mileage reports, and fuel receipts accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure proper documentation for restricted‑access sites when applicable (e.g., naval base access, DBIDS/RAPID)
- Capture required signatures, delivery confirmations, and materials tracking forms
- Assist warehouse or yard staff with inventory organization, material staging, or equipment movement when delivery workload is low
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs designed to support career growth from entry‑level roles to long‑term opportunities within the company
- Perform all other duties as required
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
- Must have “0 or Plus” DMV driving points along with a valid Virginia driver’s license
- Must be able to lift up to 60 (sixty) pounds
- Must have truck driver experience with large trucks (18′ to 24′) non‑CDL
