Service Pickup & Delivery Driver- Diesel

Bring your skills to the 2025 Kenworth Dealer of the Year! Kenworth Sales Co., a 38-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is looking for a Service Pick-up and Delivery Driver to join our Chesapeake, VA team.

The primary function of the Service Pickup and Delivery Driver is to pick-up / deliver new and used trucks and vehicles repaired by Kenworth Sales Company to customers, branch locations, wholesalers, etc. Due to federally mandated DOT regulations, Kenworth Sales Company is a drug-free workplace. Any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a pre‑employment drug screening.

• Maintain a current, valid Commercial Driver’s License for Class 7 & 8 tractors and trucks, an excellent driving record, and fulfill all requirements for keeping the CDL in good standing, including physical exams, drug tests, and driver’s logbook.
• Maintain courteous and continuing relations with port authorities, highway patrol, Departments of Transportation and Motor Vehicles in the course of employment.
• Be available when called from time to time as needed to drive Class 7 and 8 tractors and trucks that are in control of the dealership using dealership dealer plates and insurance.
• Occasionally deliver trucks to customers or inter‑branch transfers of trucks.
• Perform outside maintenance as needed on a daily / weekly basis: sweeping and trash pickup, snow removal, and helping to establish and maintain higher facility standards.
• Perform minor repairs within the facility, including shop machines or tools, wall repair, painting, lights, windows, doors, desks or other needed repairs.
• Assist management with operations as the need arises.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current, valid Commercial Driver’s License in good standing.
• Clean driving record.
• General knowledge of mechanical components of Class 7 and 8 trucks.
• Familiarity with trucking industry and the requirements for transporting Class 7 & 8 tractors and trucks between states.
• Five years minimum experience driving a commercial truck.
• Working knowledge of the federal highway system.
• Excellent organization, communication, and driving skills.

• Will bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and feel.
• Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, paint, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
• Will spend extensive periods driving multiple vehicles over short and long distances.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis.
