• Assign loads to contractors in a timely and efficient manner
• Inform Customer Service Representatives of all developments throughout the day so they can keep customers updated
• Monitor contractors’ HOS to route and prioritize schedules to maximize turnaround
• Update database with appropriate route, delivery status, and timestamps
• Document delays, dry runs, yard stops, missed loads, appointments, etc. in the TMS
• Update contractors with important information about orders, traffic, obstacles, and requirements
• Communicate contractor pay, chassis availability, and appointment times
• Track order costs and billing information
• Confirm completed delivery information with contractors
• Track where empty containers need to go and plan accordingly
• Receive emergency and non‑emergency calls and record significant information
• Understand and manage cut‑off times for deliveries to ensure proper scheduling
• Solve contractors’ issues in a timely and professional manner
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with weekends on occasion

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
• 1–3 years’ experience in the intermodal industry; dispatch experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook as well as overall computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong conflict resolution and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to multi‑task while maintaining a positive attitude
• Self‑motivated, detail oriented, and able to prioritize
