Bulk Terminal Operator - Elizabeth River

What We Are Looking For

Responsible for the safe, efficient and quality-conscious unloading and loading of bulk products to or from vessels, tanks, railcars, and trucks.

• Operate front end loaders, skidsteer, forklift, dozer, excavator, and other small equipment.
• Perform general duties in all areas of operations of the terminals, including extensive training in railcar, truck, warehousing, vessel operations, safety and environmental training as required.
• Ensure the safe and efficient transfer of bulk products to or from vessels, tanks, railcars and trucks.
• Report equipment abnormalities or failures to supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping and general maintenance, including upkeep of assigned equipment or tools.
• Perform any other terminal function as trained and instructed by supervisor.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Meet and maintain certification for the use of respiratory protective equipment as required by OSHA .
• Secure and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWICS) card.
• Demonstrated aptitude to execute customer orders and maintain necessary records.
• Work effectively with a team, take direction from supervisors, maintain required schedules, focus on detail, and follow work rules.
