This exciting position offers a variety of hands on experience in several business skills.

Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading the daily execution of all warehouse operations while actively participating in warehouse activities alongside the team. This role oversees inventory accuracy, quality control, shipping, receiving, and material handling while supervising a team of six employees. The Warehouse Manager ensures operational goals are achieved by maintaining productivity, enforcing company policies and safety procedures, and providing hands-on leadership.

The warehouse supports the daily operations of INIT as well as two production companies located within the facility. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and data integrity within the ERP system while coordinating closely with Purchasing, Logistics, Production, and Repair departments. The Warehouse Manager reports directly to the Manager of Purchasing, Logistics, and Repair.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on leadership by working alongside warehouse personnel in receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, inventory control, and material handling activities.
  • Plan daily workloads, prioritize tasks, and coordinate staffing to meet operational demands and customer requirements.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate a team of six warehouse employees while promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure employees meet productivity expectations while following established processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Perform and oversee all warehouse functions, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure data integrity through daily use of the ERP system.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain high inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments while communicating and negotiating with transportation providers.
  • Monitor shipping schedules and deadlines to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Maintain knowledge of customs, import/export documentation, and shipping compliance requirements.
  • Develop, monitor, and report warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy, productivity, shipping performance, and order fulfillment metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, efficiency, space utilization, and workflow.
  • Coordinate warehouse resource needs, including equipment, tools, storage space, technology, and staffing requirements.
  • Enforce warehouse safety programs and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Safeguard warehouse facilities, inventory, and assets by implementing and monitoring security procedures.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Logistics, and Repair departments to ensure efficient material flow and operational support.
  • Perform other warehouse and operational duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, climb stairs, and operate warehouse equipment throughout the workday.
  • Work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, and moving equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school, trade school, or associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of warehouse operations experience.
  • Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and logistics.
