Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall organization, accuracy, efficiency, and safety of warehouse operations supporting HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service and installation teams. This position ensures technicians and installers have the correct materials, equipment, tools, and parts needed to complete scheduled work efficiently while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and controlling material costs.

Warehouse Operations
  • Manage the daily operations of the warehouse supporting HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service and installation departments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Establish and maintain clearly identified locations for equipment, parts, materials, tools, and consumable supplies.
  • Ensure materials are properly received, stored, issued, transferred, and returned.
  • Coordinate daily warehouse priorities based on the service and installation schedule.
  • Ensure technicians and installers receive materials and equipment in a timely manner.
  • Maintain appropriate security and control over warehouse inventory, equipment, and tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse layout, workflow, productivity, and organization.
Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure inventory transactions are completed correctly in the company's operating system.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and participate in scheduled physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stocking levels based on usage and seasonal demand.
  • Identify slow-moving, obsolete, damaged, or excess inventory and develop plans for return, transfer, use, or disposal.
  • Monitor high-value inventory and equipment to minimize loss and shrinkage.
  • Maintain appropriate seasonal inventory levels while avoiding unnecessary overstock.
  • Work with leadership to establish and achieve inventory reduction and inventory-turn goals.
  • Track inventory adjustments and identify recurring causes of inventory inaccuracies.
  • Coordinate ordering and replenishment of commonly stocked materials and supplies.
  • Work with approved vendors and supply houses to obtain needed materials and equipment.
  • Verify pricing, quantities, purchase orders, and deliveries.
  • Monitor backordered materials and communicate potential job impacts to Operations.
  • Assist leadership with vendor pricing, purchasing opportunities, and cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Ensure purchases follow company authorization and purchasing procedures.
Receiving & Material Control
  • Receive incoming equipment, parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect deliveries for shortages, damage, or incorrect materials and promptly resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure received materials are entered into the appropriate inventory or operating system.
  • Coordinate vendor returns, credits, defective materials, and warranty parts.
  • Maintain organized documentation for purchases, returns, transfers, and warranty transactions.
Tools & Equipment
  • Maintain accountability for company-owned tools and equipment.
  • Track issuance and return of specialty tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate repair or replacement of damaged equipment when necessary.
  • Maintain appropriate records for assigned tools and equipment.
  • Assist with periodic tool and equipment audits.
Leadership & Team Management
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and develop warehouse personnel.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for accuracy, productivity, safety, and organization.
