Foreman, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor, Roofing

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer / foreman to join our roofing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of roofers and labourers in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of leadership techniques, roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work  ideal applicant will have experience with construction-related tasks and possess a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.

• Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine roofing requirements.
• Install new roofs using various materials fir pitched and flat roofs (mainly EPDM rubber for flat roofing).
• Repair or replace damaged roofing components, ensuring weatherproofing and durability.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with carpentry, masonry or other related construction tasks on-site.
• Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure efficient workflow.
• Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents during high-altitude work or when handling hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated time frames while maintaining quality standards.

• Proven experience in roofing.
• Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings relevant to roofing projects.
• Competence in using hand tools and power tools.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights comfortably.
• Familiarity with carpentry or masonry skills is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
• Relevant certifications or licences in roofing or construction are desirable but not mandatory.
