Description

Accounting Manager (Manufacturing)

We are partnering with a family-friendly manufacturing company in Central CT to find an Accounting Manager who enjoys owning the accounting function while also supporting office operations and HR. This role is open due to a retirement. They offer longevity and succession planning!

Key responsibilities:

+ Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations

+ Oversee the month-end close process

+ Prepare financial statements, including P& L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow

+ Partner with the external CPA for tax preparation

+ Handle inventory accounting, including FIFO, LIFO, and average cost methods

+ Monitor COGS, job costing, BOM, and WIP

+ Support office management and administrative oversight

+ Assist with HR functions, including onboarding and benefits administration

+ Oversee healthcare plans and 401(k) administration

Qualifications:

+ 5-10+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

Technical skills:

+ Strong full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping background

+

Experience with Quick Books helpful

+ ERP system experience preferred
