Box Office Assistant
Part-Time | Job Share | 8–12 hours/week | Cheshire, CT
Nelson Hall, a professional 342-seat concert hall located on the beautiful Elim Park campus in Cheshire, CT, is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Box Office Sales Associate for a job-sharing position. Responsibilities- Process ticket sales in person, by phone, and online
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and respond to patron inquiries
- Develop group sales leads and assist with group sales and lunch reservations
- Monitor attendance and box office sales and maintain accurate transaction records
- Balance and secure the sales drawer and prepare routine sales reports
- Prepare ticket orders and confirmations
- Manage usher recruitment, scheduling, and assignments
- Assist with show-night preparations, special events, promotions, and season launches
- Maintain ticketing system information, including loading new seasons
- Assist with administrative projects, mailings, and other duties as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous sales or customer service experience
- Strong communication, organization, and attention-to-detail skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with ticketing systems;
Tix experience preferred - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and additional hours during busy periods
- 8–12 hours per week in a job‑sharing arrangement, alternating daily hours with another Box Office Associate
- Regular box office hours:
Tuesday–Friday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, with additional hours during performances and special events - Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working occasionally in a theater environment with low lighting and moderate noise
