We are SLR Consulting (US), a 500+ coast-to-coast team of advisory, environmental/engineering, and regulatory professionals. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. As our new Proposal Specialist, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.

This role engages and leads the assembly, scheduling, messaging and delivery of proposals along with designated Technical Leads.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of proposal and interview materials.
• Prepare technical presentations as requested.
• Help ensure that written communications are consistent in design and tone and follow company guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining marketing databases and project descriptions.
• Maintain open lines of communication and respond promptly to all inquiries.
• Develop and maintain relationships with technical staff to support proposal efforts.
• Performs QA/QC review of proposal and interview materials.
• Provide backup support for web materials.
• Provide backup support to the Proposal Manager relative to RFQ/RFP opportunities.
• Perform market research on industry trends as requested.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• The salary range for this position is $75,000.
  
  - $80,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

Qualifications/Education/Memberships:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field. Experience may be substituted for education.
• 2+ years' proposal or marketing experience, preferably with an AEC firm.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, editing, and production skills.
• Ability to pick up new procedures and put them into practice.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with a good understanding of the time critical nature of proposals and other marketing tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat)
• Experience in the proposal process is a plus.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Visually literate with strong verbal and visual communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally and productively with staff of all levels, including firm leadership.
• Must be comfortable interfacing with employees, clients, and vendors throughout all levels of the organization.
