We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join a growing construction team. This individual will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for complex heavy civil, marine, bridge, and infrastructure construction projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating with project teams, and understands the unique scheduling challenges associated with large-scale infrastructure construction.

This role involves developing detailed schedules and collaborating with various teams to ensure project milestones are met.

Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules utilizing Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Update and maintain project schedules on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Analyze schedule performance and identify critical path, float erosion, productivity trends, and potential delays.
  • Prepare recovery schedules and mitigation plans when project milestones are at risk.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to verify schedule progress and forecast upcoming activities.
  • Participate in project planning meetings, owner meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and progress reviews.
  • Prepare schedule narratives, look-ahead schedules, milestone reports, and executive dashboard updates.
  • Evaluate schedule impacts related to change orders, unforeseen site conditions, weather events, and owner-directed changes.
  • Assist with delay analysis, claims documentation, and time extension requests.
  • Coordinate schedule integration across multiple subcontractors, suppliers, fabrication activities, and self-performed work.
  • Support procurement planning by tracking long-lead materials, equipment deliveries, and fabrication schedules.
  • Monitor resource loading and manpower forecasts to optimize project execution.
  • Identify opportunities for schedule improvements and increased project efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate historical scheduling data for future estimating and planning efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of scheduling experience on heavy civil, bridge, transportation, marine, or infrastructure construction projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 required.
  • Microsoft Project experience preferred.
  • Understanding of CPM scheduling principles and earned value concepts.
  • Experience working with DOT, USACE, municipal, railroad, or federal construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Familiarity with construction sequencing for bridges, marine work, deep foundations, structural steel, utilities, and roadway construction.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules simultaneously.
