Math Teacher

Cheshire Academy has an opening for a full‑time mathematics teacher for the 2026‑2027 academic year.

• Provide quality instruction in math courses ranging from beginning algebra to calculus.
• Teach integrated college‑prep math curriculum and multiple levels of IB Mathematics.
• Potentially teach the IB Math Analysis and Approaches HL track, though prior experience is not required.
• Optionally teach computer science courses within the department if aligned with candidate interest and expertise.
• Support a wide range of learners through innovative and collaborative curriculum and instruction.
• Engage in the co‑curricular and residential life of the school, including advising students and contributing to co‑curricular programs.
• Duty to participate in dorm responsibilities when school housing is provided.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a CT “A” endorsement for transportation of students.

• Minimum:
  Bachelor of Science in mathematics, computer science, or a related subject.
• Preferred:
  Master’s degree, teaching credentials, and/or relevant experience teaching various levels of high school math.
• Experience with the IB Diploma Program is a plus.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education, global citizenship, and transforming curriculum to meet today’s learners.
• Ability to participate fully in the boarding school experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
