An exciting opportunity for an individual who possesses excellent interpersonal skills, high energy level, creativity and the ability to teach all levels of students. All candidates should have experience working with students with a wide range of disabilities in both inclusive and separate settings.
Duties include teaching and co‑teaching, as well as participation in the SRBI process, PPTs and parent conferences. It is essential that the candidates demonstrate ability to teach reading and comprehensive skills, write IEPs in accordance with state and federal mandates, case manage several special education students, and plan lessons for instructional assistants who work with specific students and groups of students.
Candidates should show strong collaboration skills with support service providers.
- Connecticut Teaching Certificate #065, #165, #265.
- Experience teaching students with a wide range of disabilities in inclusive and separate settings.
- Strong collaboration skills with support service providers.
