Cheshire High School is seeking a mathematics educator to join a department known for its strong collaboration, shared instructional vision, and commitment to student-centered learning. As part of our math team, you'll work alongside colleagues who engage regularly in reflective practice and value instructional strategies that foster deep thinking, student engagement, and real-time responsiveness to learning.
Our department embraces a shared understanding of high-quality instruction where students are encouraged to actively explore concepts, communicate their reasoning, and make their thinking visible. Teachers collaborate on curriculum design, formative assessment practices, and daily instructional moves that support all learners.
We are looking for educators who value a team-based approach to planning and reflection, are committed to fostering complex thinking and social emotional learning, and bring enthusiasm to the classroom.
QualificationsConnecticut Teaching Certificate #029 or the ability to qualify, with appropriate endorsement(s), and expertise in curriculum sub-areas.

BenefitsChildren of a teacher who does not reside in Cheshire may attend the Cheshire Public Schools so long as the teacher continues to teach in Cheshire and pays 50% of the published regular education tuition cost, plus any additional costs incurred by the district regarding their child.
