Library Media Technician – 10 Month, Grade 2, 35 Hour / Cheshire High School ()
LocationCheshire High School
Responsibilities- Assist the school librarian in operating the Library Media Center (LMC).
- Check in/out library materials.
- Shelve and assist students in locating library materials.
- Take Student of the Month photos, update the Announcement Slide, notify the local newspaper, Superintendent’s office, and morning broadcasts.
- Order materials using the LMC budget via CPS Accounting system.
- Process, add, level, repair, and discard materials related to the LMC collection.
- Send notices for lost/damaged books.
- Assist students & staff with printer/copier issues.
- Set up events in the LMC.
- Maintain knowledge of AMS, Tyler Enterprise ERP, Google Suite, copier/printer machines, and miscellaneous library machinery.
Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to relate to staff members and students courteously and effectively; knowledge of computer skills. Experience with the Destiny library book database system preferred.
ScheduleFull time, 10 months, 35 hours/week, Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
SalaryIn accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and the Cheshire Educational Secretaries and Technicians United (Grade
2) – $26.79/hr (26/27 SY).
