PPA Teacher

New Directions Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and adaptable PPA Teacher to work in primary schools across Knutsford and surrounding areas from September. This role is ideal for enthusiastic educators who enjoy teaching across different year groups and providing high-quality cover to ensure continuity of learning during teachers’ Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time.

We work with a range of welcoming and supportive schools that value flexible, skilled teachers who can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2
• Ensuring continuity of learning during class teachers’ PPA time
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
• Adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
• Providing feedback to class teachers on pupil progress and learning
• Supporting the wider school community when required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting
• Strong classroom management skills
• The flexibility and confidence to teach across different year groups
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and professional approach
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and curriculum expectations
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• A full driving licence and access to transport (beneficial)
