St. Bridget School is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and student-centered Middle School Science Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will foster a love of science while creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment that meets the needs of a diverse group of learners.
Responsibilities- Teach middle school science courses in alignment with school and diocesan curriculum standards.
- Create engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific reasoning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of all learners, including students requiring additional support and those seeking enrichment.
- Utilize data and assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
- Foster a classroom culture rooted in respect, inclusion, and high expectations.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, faculty, and administration.
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into classroom life and interactions.
- Participate fully in the life of the school community, including faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Connecticut teaching certification or eligibility for certification preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of middle school science content and best instructional practices.
- Experience working with diverse learners and implementing differentiated instruction.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Ability to create positive relationships with staff, students, and families.
- Experience co-planning and collaborating with support staff, interventionists, or para educators.
- Familiarity with inclusive classroom practices and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Experience using educational technology to enhance student learning.
- A practicing Catholic in good standing with the parish.
