Primary Responsibilities
This position will serve in the School Library with the following job responsibilities:
- Assist students in selecting books and use of materials.
- Work with Librarian to prepare materials for library lessons.
- Cover circulation desk during library classes.
- Check out books, monitor overdue books, print notices for students and mail correspondence to parents.
- Shelve books, conduct inventory and process book and periodical orders.
- Book maintenance including repairs, damage book replacement, evaluate and process book donations.
- Other Library related duties as assigned by the School Librarian and or School Principal.
10 MONTH / NORTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL9:15 AM - 12:15 PM (15 HRS A WEEK)
Supervised By
Receives task direction from the School Principal and/or the School Media Specialist.
QualificationsMust be organized and able to assist librarian and students in order to help ensure that library services are provided in an efficient and professional manner.
SalaryStarting hourly pay rate is $17.48/hour.
