Summary
The Manufacturing Technical Trainer develops and conducts technical training programs to ensure the safe and effective performance of Manufacturing/Production employees. Training includes both classroom and on-the-job training and would incorporate both conceptual and hands-on instructional methods. Responsibilities would also include working closely with Learning & Development leadership and topic subject matter experts to develop new curricula; assuring training meets relevant regulatory requirements and HAU practices, procedures and policies;

conducting training quality assurance audits and qualification of manufacturing/production employees.

Essential Functions
  • Works with manufacturing/production personnel and supervisors to analyze job tasks and current field performance to determine training needs and program content.
  • Designs, develops and delivers training content (ILT, OJT or other training modalities) including written materials, technical information, work instructions and presentations.
  • Effectively implements training programs and field training quality audit programs.
  • Supervises, directs and instructs trainees during classroom, hands-on and on-the-job training assignments.
  • Evaluates performance during training and follows up on students learning through field visits, observations and refresher training.
  • Provide coaching to employees on job performance.
  • Provides updates and incorporates new procedures and revisions into training programs and reviews work with vendors, technical experts, engineers, and manufacturing/production personnel.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of technical manufacturing experience.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of military and commercial design standards.
  • Knowledge of tooling and part materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructions
  • Ability to initiate, record, recommend, verify, and implement corrective actions or solutions to problems relating to product, process or quality system.
  • Ability to obtain Lean Leader certification.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9002 standards and demonstrated ability to lead or support implementation initiatives to ensure compliance and maintain certification
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to present theory and concepts, as well as hands‑on technical instruction with clarity, confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to travel domestically between HAU sites – 10% max
