RHS Consulting Design, LLC is seeking qualified inspection professionals to support CTDOT, Municipal, and State transportation projects throughout Connecticut. We currently have openings for 1 Chief Inspector and 2 Sr. Construction Inspectors.
CHIEF CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR – REQUIREMENTS- Minimum 8 years of construction inspection experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) or NICET IV in Transportation/Highway Construction
- Strong working knowledge of CTDOT Form 819, COMPASS, and AASHTOWare Project
- Proven experience leading inspection staff and coordinating with Resident Engineers, contractors, and CTDOT
- NETTCP, ACI, and OSHA certifications preferred
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel statewide
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum of 4 years of construction inspection experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with CTDOT Form 819, COMPASS, and AASHTOWare Project
- NETTCP, ACI, and OSHA certifications preferred
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites across Connecticut
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in construction inspection with experience on bridges, roadways, and signalized intersections, along with a civil engineering background or equivalent experience. Familiarity with CTDOT procedures including Form 819, COMPASS, and AASHTOWare Project is required. The Chief Inspector will lead and oversee inspection activities, coordinating with Resident Engineers, contractors, and agencies, while Sr. Construction Inspectors will support field inspections, documentation, and compliance with project specifications.
Responsibilities include performing field inspections, material testing, reporting and recordkeeping, coordinating with project stakeholders, and supporting project management and design teams as needed.
Positions may require travel to project sites statewide and may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and hold a valid driver’s license. Relevant certifications (PE, NICET, EIT, NETTCP, ACI, OSHA) are preferred.
