- $80-100K annual
- In-Office position

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for 2D and 3D drafting, updating existing prototypes, designing new prototypes, and creating Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). The work focuses on automated high-pressure gas and liquid systems.
- Utilize Solidworks and AutoCAD to create 2D and 3D drawings for automated, high-pressure gas and liquid systems, comprising cylinders, compressors, valves, manifolds, instrumentation, etc.
- Prepare P&IDs, CAD models, detailed assemblies, parts, and drawings that meet project and code requirements.
- Work as part of multi-disciplinary teams to design, test, and document integrated industrial automation and control systems from conceptualization through commercialization.
- Translate customer requirements and functional needs into technical solutions through brainstorming and feasibility studies.
- Design prototypes, test stands, and/or pilot plants to facilitate Stage‑Gate process.
- Create Bills of Materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and technical manuals.
- Provide technical assistance to manufacturing during system integration.
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of mechanical design experience (or equivalent combination of education, academic projects, and hands‑on experience).
- Experience creating CAD models, manufacturing drawings and P&IDs.
- Hands‑on and theoretical expertise in high pressure gas and liquid systems, including cylinders, compressors, valves, manifolds, instrumentation.
- Proficiency with Solid Works and AutoCAD.
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with PDM systems.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Knowledge of mechanical codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, NFPA 55, NFPA 1, ANSI, API, ASTM G93, and ASTM G94.
- Experience with robotics.
