As Controller, you will oversee financial operations that directly support accessible, high-quality care for underserved populations. This role involves nonprofit healthcare finance, compliance, and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations, including HRSA guidelines, HIPAA, and internal policies
• Oversee the accuracy of financial data across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger
• Lead the preparation of GAAP-compliant internal and external financial statements, balance sheets, and reports with supporting footnotes
• Generate monthly financial reports with budget-to-actual and year-over-year variance analysis tailored to HRSA, state agencies, and other funders
• Develop and maintain financial and accounting policies aligned with HRSA Health Center Program Requirements, Uniform Guidance, and OMB Circulars
• Partner with senior management in developing, monitoring, and analyzing the annual budget
• Prepare statutory and regulatory reports, including Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and UDS submissions
• Oversee vendor management, including setup, maintenance, and reconciliation of A/P ledgers, ensuring compliance with federal procurement standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA/advanced degree a plus)
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with nonprofit or healthcare background strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting systems (e.g., Fund EZ)
