CNC Machinist 1
Plan and perform various CNC milling operations to machine a variety of metal parts under the direction of the supervisor.
Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes and milling machines
Work from blueprints, engineering instructions, and specifications
Setup, adjust and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized tools in order to perform precision machining operations
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
Check parts to ensure that they are properly lubricated and cooled
Measure, examine, and test completed units to defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers
Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter
Maintain records and document in-process inspection data
Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
High School Degree or G.E.D
1+ years of CNC machining experience
Precision Manufacturing Certificate preferred
Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructions
Ability to setup and operate CNC turning and milling machines
Ability to measure using standard shop tools, machine tools, and engineered gaging to close established tolerances
Knowledge of G & M codes
Ability to travel domestically – 10% max
