Production Associate (Cylinder Filler)
Location: Cheshire, CT (Plant) - Filling industrial
Shift Time: 2nd Shift (1pm-9:30pm), Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $23/hr

- Reviews and ensures cylinders prior to filling, following established guidelines and safety checks such as odor tests, checking caps and valves. Analyzes products for purity and correct mixtures.
- Takes care of high‑pressure, medical and liquid cylinders. Prepares high‑pressure cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling. Attaches to manifold, evacuates cylinders to ensure excellent quality and purity. Fills cylinders by pressure and weight per regulations and standards.
- Assists with loading & unloading of cylinders on & off pallets and tractor trailers. Experienced in using forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintains accurate records to DOT, FDA, OSHA, Airgas standards. Completes quality control sheets as required.
- Knowledgeable of hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color‑coding of tanks. Supports accurate labeling of cylinders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school degree or GED required.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Prior experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP system preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent.
- Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures applicable to this position's responsibilities.
- A minimum of 1 year of related technical experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
