Role & Responsibilities

This position is for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse responsible for providing rapid, compassionate assessments and urgent care to a diverse patient population. Key duties include administering emergency medications, managing IV lines, executing life‑saving interventions, and coordinating care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. The nurse will perform patient assessments, prioritize care based on acuity, and communicate effectively to ensure seamless, quality care while promoting trust and patient rights.

The role emphasizes evidence‑based practice, quality improvement, and collaborative teamwork to enhance patient outcomes.

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited nursing program, hold an active NYS RN license, and current ACLS, PALS, and stroke certifications (or willingness to obtain them). Essential skills include excellent clinical judgment, problem‑solving, and the ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies. Work authorization in the U.S. or Canadian TN Visa eligibility is required. A BSN is preferred; experienced RNs may substitute an advanced certification.
