Job Overview

Starting as soon as possible, a wonderful three-day opportunity has become available for an experienced and caring nanny to join a professional and friendly family in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire. The three days are flexible and will be mutually agreed to suit the client and the nanny. Hours are negotiable, but indicatively you will be required to work  (36 hours/week).

You will be caring for one delightful baby girl, aged six months. You will be working alongside Mum, who will be returning to work after maternity leave, and Dad, so this will be a mixture of sole charge and shared care. The little girl is currently NG line fed, while she recovers from a heart condition from when she was born.

The transition to solids is underway, however in the interim, knowledge of feeding via NG would be advantageous, but not essential, as training can be given. The family is healthy and active, enjoying travelling and outdoor activities. They are looking for a nanny who will become a valued part of their happy home.

As the baby grows, the family would like a balanced approach to development to help the little girl reach her milestones. This should include plenty of indoor activities such as reading stories, singing, puzzles, and imaginative play, as well as time outdoors, including walks and trips to the park. As she gets bigger, the parents are keen for her to attend activities, groups and playdates to make friends, so a nanny who is sociable and proactive in planning activities will be ideal.

In addition to general childcare, you will also be responsible for some nursery duties, including preparing healthy home‑cooked meals for the baby, keeping her areas organised and tidy, and managing her laundry. Any help with small daily tasks such as emptying the dishwasher and making sure all toys are tidied away at the end of the day would be appreciated. You should have full knowledge of weaning and potty training.

• Must have an up‑to‑date enhanced eDBS certificate registered on the update service.
• Must hold a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
• Must provide a minimum of two professional referees, one of whom is your current or last employer, and both must be immediately contactable.
• Driving:
  If you drive, you will need to be a confident, careful driver with a clean licence and a fully insured car. Duty mileage will be reimbursed.

  We also recommend that you have appropriate personal insurance.
