Part‑time positions available. Working evenings 4:45 pm to 8:00 pm – 16.25 hours per week. 1 position working every weekend, 2 positions working 2 out of 3 weekends.

• Assist in all food service areas and retail outlets as directed by Team Leader / Line Manager.
• Operate within established food hygiene and safety practices, methods and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic food preparation and cooking environment in line with National Standards of Cleanliness.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff and visitors.
• Perform duties in kitchen, dish wash, hospitality and retail sections, including functions, restaurants, hospital shop, vending and other related areas including Ellesmere Port Hospital.
• Clean premises and equipment, prepare and package food, and provide food service, vending and ward trolley service.
• Work in chilled and/or frozen working and storage environments as appropriate.
• Participate in preparation of raw food materials for nutritional meals for patients and for staff and Trust visitors.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with supervisors, ward teams, departmental staff and visitors.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire, Welsh patients and others. The Trust operates from three locations:
The Countess of Chester Hospital, Ellesmere Port Hospital and Tarporley War Memorial Hospital.

Applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs will be deducted from their salary over the first three months of employment. New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the stated scale.
