Night Porter – Carden Park Hotel

Location:

Broxton Road, Chester, Cheshire, CH3 9DQ

Hours:

32 – 40 hours per week (4–5 nights per week). Permanent contract from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am, including weekends.

Salary: £26,800 per annum plus service charge and extensive benefits.

• Deliver exceptional guest service throughout the night, anticipating and responding to guests’ needs with professionalism and care.
• Welcome guests with efficient check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Make and deliver room service orders promptly and courteously.
• Maintain the cleanliness, presentation and organization of public areas to the highest standard.
• Carry out regular security and safety checks across the resort, ensuring a secure environment for guests, visitors and colleagues.
• Support other departments overnight to ensure the smooth running of hotel operations.
• Respond confidently and efficiently to guest enquiries and requests, creating memorable experiences at every opportunity.
• Drive the staff minibus on a rotational basis.

• Candidates must hold a D1 category on their driving licence to facilitate staff drop‑offs late at night via the shuttle bus.
• Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality or customer service environment (preferred but not essential).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, flexible and can‑do attitude.
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Computer literate.
• Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Confidence working independently and taking responsibility during overnight shifts.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding the highest standards of service.
• Access to a vehicle or reliable transport method (necessary for the rural location of Carden Park).
