Level 3 Apprentice - Gas Engineering

Fixed term contract for 30 months

Starting salary year 1: £19,968 per year

Our Apprenticeship programme gives you a hands‑on experience while working towards a qualification in partnership with Salford College. Gas Engineering apprentices work alongside fully qualified gas engineers on servicing, repairing, and maintaining gas appliances, installing new appliances and heating systems, and attending day release  will gain a Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance – Level 3 qualification at the end.

What will you do?

You will work in a team in the Chester region. This opportunity gives you valuable practical experience in providing reactive gas maintenance & repair service, undertaking gas boiler and heating system replacements, and learning customer service skills essential for a successful career in the gas and renewable industry.

What skills and abilities do I need?

  • Minimum of 2 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Interest in practical, technically challenging work in gas and renewable industry
  • Good practical and problem‑solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence, or willingness to obtain one
