Company Overview

A growing specialist in electronic security and intelligent site solutions is looking to add a Security Engineer to its expanding engineering team.

The business delivers technology-led security solutions across a range of commercial environments, with a particular focus on large-scale sites where reliable, integrated systems are critical. Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, they're looking for an engineer who wants to develop their technical skillset while working on varied installation and service projects across the UK.

The company is particularly open to engineers coming from an electrical background who have the right technical foundations and attitude to develop into a fully competent Security Engineer.

Role Overview

This is a varied Installation & Service Engineer position, with a strong bias towards installation work.

You’ll work predominantly on commercial sites and car parks, installing, servicing and maintaining a range of electronic security systems.

The initial focus will be on:

  • CCTV
  • Access Control

You’ll then receive training and development across ANPR systems also!

The role will involve travelling across the UK, although a significant proportion of the workload is concentrated throughout the North West. Depending on where you are based and the location of projects, you can expect approximately 1-2 nights away per week.

Importantly, there is no call-out requirement, giving you a much better work-life balance than many nationwide engineering positions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation of CCTV and Access Control systems
  • Servicing and maintaining existing security systems
  • Commissioning and fault finding
  • Working on commercial and car park environments
  • Installing and supporting ANPR systems following training
  • Identifying additional works and opportunities on site
  • Maintaining professional relationships with customers
  • Completing relevant service and installation documentation
  • Working safely and in accordance with company procedures
