Job Description & How to Apply Below
Join our UK team as the technical backbone keeping our automation equipment (including Rocky Light SE) running flawlessly at VIP customer sites. This role is all about electrical systems — maintenance, troubleshooting, and keeping things running safely and smoothly. You'll work closely with our Project Managers to deliver fast, reliable technical support while upholding 100% safety compliance, directly driving customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
On-Site Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose faults in robotic systems using circuit diagrams, and test electrical components (sensors, servo drives, power supplies, etc.) with multimeters and other tools
- Carry out quarterly and annual Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), ensuring secure wiring and stable system parameters
- Handle basic mechanical fitting work — conveyor belt tensioning, motor replacement, and lubrication of mechanical structures
- Support the project team with on-site installation, including cable tray routing, control panel wiring, and I/O testing
- Partner with Project Managers on safety testing to ensure delivered equipment meets our technical specifications
Safety & Compliance
- Strictly follow Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure power sources are fully isolated before any maintenance work
- Ensure all on-site work complies with UK PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations) standards
Service Records & Spare Parts Management
- Keep clear, detailed logs of technical work performed and parts replaced during each site visit
- Manage on-vehicle spare parts inventory and coordinate restocking needs with our Germany operations team
What You'll Bring
- Valid 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification
- Full, clean UK Driving License
- Background in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline (strong Level 3 apprenticeship graduates welcome)
- Ability to read circuit diagrams, hands-on experience with hand tools, solid electrical troubleshooting logic, and experience with PLC projects
