  • Coordinate and manage year-end audit preparation, including work papers, schedules, and auditor inquiries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax-related documents; liaise with external tax advisors on 1099s, property tax returns, and entity-level tax compliance.
  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across the organization.
  • Assist with cash management, investor reporting, and distribution calculations as needed.
  • Collaborate with property management, asset management, and operations teams to ensure alignment between financial reporting and operational performance.
  • Support system implementations, process improvements, and special projects as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong emphasis on multi-entity property management accounting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency with property management accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Real Page, App Folio, or similar).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of real estate financial concepts including NOI, debt service, capital expenditures, and investor reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA licensure.
  • Experience with consolidated financial reporting across diverse real estate asset classes (multifamily, commercial, hospitality/entertainment).
  • Familiarity with tax compliance for pass-through entities (LLCs, partnerships).
  • Experience working in a private equity or investment firm environment.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Professional development opportunities and support for CPA licensure.
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial work environment with exposure to a growing real estate portfolio.
