Construction Team Lead

Skillforce is seeking a bilingual Construction Team Lead for an ongoing project in Chester, VA. We're looking for an experienced construction professional with strong leadership skills who is ready to lead a crew and grow their career in the construction industry.

Pay and

Schedule:

  • Up to $25/hour, based on experience
  • 40+ hours per week
  • Must be available to work overtime each week, including weekends as needed.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must be bilingual.
    • OSHA 30 Certification
    • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
    • At least 3 years of construction leadership experience.
    • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
    • Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and willingness to adhere to safety regulations.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with foremen and onsite management.
    • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and supervise a crew of 5–8 construction laborers.
    • Coordinate daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
    • Load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment
    • Prepare and maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
    • Support skilled tradespeople by supplying tools, materials, and assistance as needed
    • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively
    • Assist with the installation and removal of scaffolding, temporary structures, and other site equipment
    • Perform general labor duties, including digging, lifting, carrying, and material handling
    • Communicate with supervisors and team members to report progress, address concerns, and maintain workflow
    • Ensure all crew members follow company and OSHA safety standards
