Part‑time Help Hub Advisor (Retention Specialist)
The Part‑time Help Hub Advisor supports student success through advising, transfer support, and outreach to improve retention. Responsibilities include advising continuing students, managing a caseload of Early Alerts, providing services in the Help Hub, and coordinating transfer advising and orientation.
Responsibilities- Advise continuing students and new students as needed.
- Manage a caseload of students resulting from Early Alerts and retention initiatives.
- Provide Help Hub services, transfer advising/fairs, and new student orientation.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and transfer partners to enhance student retention.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and assist in emergencies as required by state government.
- Proven academic excellence and subject matter knowledge.
- Prior advising experience at a college or university preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with a focus on student success.
- Ability to use standard office software and student information systems; proficiency in People Soft, Navigate, Canvas, and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Adapts quickly to new technologies.
- Flexibility to work a changing schedule including evenings, weekends and telework.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check required.
- Experience teaching, presenting workshops, and/or advising in an academic setting highly desirable.

Pay Band 03; $25.00 per hour; up to a maximum of 29 hours per week.
