Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Nurse based in Chester, VA. The Registered Nurse will deliver comprehensive nursing care, monitor and evaluate patient progress, and ensure the continued safety and mental wellness of residents. Responsibilities include medication administration, conducting assessments, collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team, maintaining accurate records, and delivering compassionate, individualized care to youth. Upholding compliance with healthcare protocols and maintaining the highest standards of care are paramount in this role.
Qualifications- Strong clinical nursing skills, including patient assessments, medication administration, and care planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with youth and collaborating with a team
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and understanding relevant healthcare regulations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while providing compassionate and trauma-informed care
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health care, particularly with adolescents, is highly desirable
- CPR certification and first aid training are preferred
- Commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for youth
