On-Site Service Engineer
We are seeking an experienced On-Site Service Engineer to support enterprise data center and server environments, including next-generation AI platforms. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on maintaining system uptime, resolving complex hardware issues, and delivering exceptional on-site technical support.
Prior AI platform experience is not required—candidates with strong data center and server hardware fundamentals are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-site support for enterprise server and data center systems, ensuring rapid issue resolution and minimal downtime.
- Perform hardware maintenance, including server builds, hardware swaps, component replacements, and firmware updates.
- Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and operating system issues, escalating when appropriate.
- Perform both reactive and preventive maintenance following established service procedures.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams and end users to ensure timely issue resolution and effective communication.
- Accurately document work performed and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during extended coverage periods as required.
- 3–5+ years of experience in technical support, field service, data center operations, or enterprise server support.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise servers or data center hardware in a field, enterprise, or customer-facing environment.
- Hands-on experience with server components such as CPUs, memory, power supplies, GPUs, and related hardware.
- Familiarity with Linux or comparable operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in an onsite environment while maintaining excellent communication with customers and internal teams.
- Willingness to learn and support emerging technologies, including AI infrastructure.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, travel to assigned work sites as needed, and participate in flexible or on-call schedules.
- Dell or other industry-recognized server hardware certifications (preferred but not required).
