Store Manager (Ag & Rental)
- Learning all aspects of store operations to include sales, rental, service and parts to support both our ag/turf and rental staff and customers.
- Building a customer‑focused team through coaching, recruiting/retention and regular communication with the staff in addition to annual performance reviews, goal setting and mentorship.
- Promoting positive dealership image to employees, customers, and the community by maintaining showroom and work spaces, customer relationships, and ongoing follow up.
- Ensuring employees have resources needed to complete work efficiently for customers, access to ongoing training opportunities and regional partnerships within James River Equipment.
- Reviewing inventory levels, sales, rentals and orders monthly to assure optimum levels for customer satisfaction and maximizing assets in addition to coordinating parts, service and whole goods specials to maintain profitable activity and inventory turnover.
- Growing revenue in product support, sales and rentals through collaboration within the region, developing and coordinating sales activities, and expense management.
- Developing annual business plan and budget to manage personnel levels and maximize profitability by assuring the business is operating proficiently, as well as comparing operating statement monthly results with the plan/budget to adjust it as needed.
- Minimum 3 years of previous management experience that includes both financial responsibility and personnel development.
- Minimum of 5 or more years in equipment industry (ag/turf, heavy equipment, rental preferred).
- Computer experience in dealership systems or similar required.
- Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, self‑direction and the ability to collaborate with leadership and regional teams required.
