What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Team Lead who will be responsible for leading a team in a specific area in Operations and coordinating the activities of department workers by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct manufacturing teams.
  • Apply SQDC (Safety‑Quality‑Delivery‑Cost) and Lean principles.
  • Conduct daily huddle meetings focused on area performance.
  • Lead the sustainability of continuous improvement:
    • Standard Work
    • Built‑in Quality
    • Small lot presentation to the line
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Lead group problem‑solving teams.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers using the PDCA (Plan‑Do‑Check‑Act) process.
  • Perform activities of workers in the group as a backup only.
  • Maintain efficiency levels to meet the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Prepare and execute daily start‑up plans.
  • Update and maintain a cross‑functional training matrix.
  • Maintain hourly performance boards with input and variance causes, including all visual display boards.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing engineering to assure on‑time delivery to internal customers through Kaizen processes.
  • Lead and document daily Kaizen activities.
  • Conduct continuous level load scheduling.
  • Coordinate material scheduling and kitting to avoid shortages to the lines.
  • Maintain 6S throughout the shift and Operator PM checklists.
  • Prepare a well‑prepared absenteeism representative.
  • Implement and sustain Standard Work procedures and visual boards.
  • Maintain efficiency levels to 90% or better.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Over 3 years of related experience.
  • Basic computer experience with MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, and basic AS400 or similar system knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • AS400 experience.
Physical/Environmental Requirements
  • Must be able to lift/pull/push 50 lbs up to 50 % of the shift.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, or twist for prolonged periods up to 10 hours a day as needed in the production area.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions on the machine up to 40 % of the shift.
