Position Title
Maintenance Technician (Nights)
Company OverviewAt Niagara, we’re looking for Team Members who want to be part of achieving our mission to provide our customers the highest quality most affordable bottled water.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair.
- Troubleshoot and repair all production equipment including injection molders, blow molders, fillers/cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers.
- Troubleshoot and repair facilities and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, reverse osmosis, water filtration equipment, and perform general plant maintenance.
- Work directly with machine operators, supervisors, preventive maintenance mechanics, and senior maintenance technicians to resolve mechanical issues during shifts.
- Propose solutions to complex and recurring problems on production equipment to senior mechanics and management.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment.
- Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility.
- Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with Niagara’s defined processes.
- Maintain industrial control systems.
- Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs in a safe and timely manner.
- May fill in for production operator as needed.
- Create and report repairs throughout the shift. Complete required work‑order paperwork and document parts and material usage.
- Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance to ensure equipment and facility uptime.
- Use personal protective equipment where required.

Qualifications- Minimum Qualifications
- 4 Years of experience in a field or similar maintenance environment.
- 4 Years of experience in a similar position.
- 4 Years of experience managing people or projects.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments.
- Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective communication of issues and solutions to cross‑functional team members.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
- Skilled in using shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill, lathe, and assorted power tools.
- Proficient with precision measuring equipment (calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, depth gauges).
- Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of plant or machine center.
- Will need own toolbox and basic tools.
- Preferred Qualifications
- 6 Years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
- 6 Years of experience working in the position.
- 6 Years of experience managing people or projects.
- Experience in high‑speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries.
- Experience with technologies such as Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), servo drives, servo motors, rotary equipment, thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing.
- Experience with Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment.
- HVAC experience including chillers and/or air compressors.
- Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics for troubleshooting.
- Fabrication skills such as cutting and welding (MIG, TIG, or stick).
- Skilled with electrical systems including 480 VAC & 24 VDC power.
