Maintenance Technician (Nights)

• Ensure equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair.
• Troubleshoot and repair all production equipment including injection molders, blow molders, fillers/cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers.
• Troubleshoot and repair facilities and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, reverse osmosis, water filtration equipment, and perform general plant maintenance.
• Work directly with machine operators, supervisors, preventive maintenance mechanics, and senior maintenance technicians to resolve mechanical issues during shifts.
• Propose solutions to complex and recurring problems on production equipment to senior mechanics and management.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment.
• Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility.
• Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with Niagara’s defined processes.
• Maintain industrial control systems.
• Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs in a safe and timely manner.
• May fill in for production operator as needed.
• Create and report repairs throughout the shift. Complete required work‑order paperwork and document parts and material usage.
• Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance to ensure equipment and facility uptime.
• Use personal protective equipment where required.

• Minimum Qualifications
  • 4 Years of experience in a field or similar maintenance environment.
  • 4 Years of experience in a similar position.
  • 4 Years of experience managing people or projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication of issues and solutions to cross‑functional team members.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
  • Skilled in using shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill, lathe, and assorted power tools.
  • Proficient with precision measuring equipment (calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, depth gauges).
  • Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of plant or machine center.
  • Will need own toolbox and basic tools.
• Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 Years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • 6 Years of experience working in the position.
  • 6 Years of experience managing people or projects.
  • Experience in high‑speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries.
  • Experience with technologies such as Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), servo drives, servo motors, rotary equipment, thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing.
  • Experience with Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment.
  • HVAC experience including chillers and/or air compressors.
  • Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics for troubleshooting.
  • Fabrication skills such as cutting and welding (MIG, TIG, or stick).
  • Skilled with electrical systems including 480 VAC & 24 VDC power.
