We’re seeking a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to create a safe work environment and directly impact associate well‑being while driving operational excellence.
As a WHS Manager, you will be the site’s safety champion, leading the Global WHS Program implementation. Your role combines hands‑on safety management with strategic thinking to protect our most valuable asset—our people. Working closely with Operations leadership, you will conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze safety data, lead site audits, and influence positive change to shape our safety culture. You will also manage the first‑aid program, emergency response capabilities, and translate safety data into actionable insights that engage associates in our safety mission.

Safety Leadership & Innovation – Transform safety culture through leadership and innovative solutions. Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, leverage technology and data analytics, develop leadership plans, communicate expectations, and meet WHS policy performance benchmarks.
Strategic Partnership & Influence – Build partnerships with Operations leadership to integrate safety into every aspect of the business. Use data analysis and risk insights to influence decision‑making, balance safety excellence with operational demands, oversee record‑keeping and training programs.
Job Physical Demands- Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
- Work in environments where noise level varies or temperature and weather are variable (including outside loading areas).
- Continuously climb and descend stairs (at sites with stairs).
- Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site.
- Obtain adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within 3 weeks of the start date if not already certified.
- Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with a mix of exempt and non‑exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
- Master’s degree.
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic organization.
- Certified Safety Professional.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.
- Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem‑solving ability.
The base salary range for this position is USD 70,100.00 – annually.
