Overview
Vanguard Conversion & Fulfillment (VCF) is a premier third‑party converting and fulfillment company that provides custom slitting, laminating, sheeting, and printing solutions for B2B and B2C clients across various industries.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the timely and qualitative completion of basic order fulfillment, ensuring that all functions are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures and that quality, productivity, and delivery standards are consistently met or exceeded.
- Perform routine daily assignments such as receiving shipments, rotating and distributing inventories and products within the company.
- Assist in shipping and receiving duties: unload/loading trucks, check in merchandise, and match purchase orders to sales orders for processing.
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
- Sort, place, and move materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage areas.
- Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for foot and personnel traffic.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves/racking or relocate orders to a holding/bulk area or shipping area.
- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
- Open and pack bales, crates, and other containers for shipping and receiving functions.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer programs.
- Actively participate in physical inventory, weighing, and inventorying items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Dependable, punctual, and team‑oriented.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; occasional requirements to sit, climb, or balance.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; frequently lift and/or move with assistance up to 50 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Prefer a minimum of six months’ experience in a warehouse environment; three months or more of related experience and/or training that requires basic knowledge of company products.
