Summary / Primary Role

The Senior Accountant will perform various general accounting functions, including month‑end closing, for the Transport & Warehouse division. These responsibilities require the Senior Accountant to work closely with the Operations Accounting group. The Senior Accountant prepares certain journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations during the monthly and annual closings. They will complete ad‑hoc projects under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Finance & Accounting.

What

You’ll Do
  • Prepare month‑end balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable and accrued expenses.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed assets ledger and roll forward, including the addition of new assets and the monthly depreciation of assets.
  • Maintain prepaid expense schedule, including monthly amortization of items and addition of new expenses to the appropriate departments.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts receivable/payable accounts between the Company’s entities each month‑end.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review operational results of international business units.
  • Participate in the development of reports and projects designed to increase efficiencies in cash management and decision making.
  • Provide supervision, support and guidance to offshore accounting team of 1‑2 staff members.
  • Work with external auditors to supply data and reporting as needed for requests related to assigned areas.
  • Lead or assist with various finance or accounting projects assigned by the Sr. Manager, Finance & Accounting.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
  • Assist in forecasting future financial trends.
  • All other duties and projects assigned.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
  • 4–6 years of general accounting experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Hands‑on experience with fixed assets, including capitalization and depreciation required; roll‑forwards experience preferred.
  • Experience managing accounting activities across multiple entities, locations, or accounts.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred; other ERP systems will be considered.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to extract, analyze, and interpret data through system queries and reporting tools.
  • Experience performing intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities.
  • International accounting experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Base pay:
    Competitive pay range plus bonus potential.
