Seafood Clerk

Strack & Van Til is seeking a friendly Seafood Clerk to join our neighborhood-focused supermarket team. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service at the seafood counter, answering questions, suggesting products, and offering basic preparation tips. You will package, weigh, price, and label seafood items while maintaining attractive, well-stocked displays. Responsibilities include following food safety and sanitation standards, rotating stock, monitoring product freshness, and cleaning work areas and equipment.

You'll work in a fast-paced retail setting, collaborating with teammates and supporting overall store operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service at the seafood counter
• Answer customer questions and suggest seafood products and preparation ideas
• Weigh, package, price, and label seafood items accurately
• Set, stock, and rotate seafood displays to ensure freshness and visual appeal
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control standards
• Monitor product quality, pull outdated items, and minimize shrink
• Clean and sanitize counters, tools, and equipment regularly
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing seafood inventory
• Work collaboratively with store teammates to support daily operations
• Follow company policies and contribute to a positive, customer-first environment
