Work Hours:

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Pay Range: $25 - 35/hr

Hydrasearch is seeking a detail-oriented drafter to join our engineering team in Stevensville, MD. In this pivotal role, you will create and maintain technical drawings and support production for our recreational and commercial marine product lines while operating within an AS9100-certified engineering and quality management environment.

• Create detailed 2D and 3D part and assembly drawings.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers to develop manufacturing-ready documentation, including exploded views and inspection-intent drawings.
• Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 to ensure components meet strict tolerances.
• Maintain drawing revisions, title blocks, and history for configuration control.
• Support the creation and maintenance of accurate Bills of Material (BOMs).

• Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent drafting/CAD experience.
• 3+ years of drafting or CAD experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proficiency in creating 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using CAD software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering sketches, notes, and specifications to produce manufacturable drawings.
• Experience maintaining drawing revisions and version control within a PDM or structured filing system.

• Working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or MIL‑SPEC.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes including CNC machining, metal fabrication, or fluid‑conveyance assembly.
• Experience with BOM management and ERP system entry.
