Job description Laboratory The 'Chemistry and Modelling for Cancer Biology' unit (UMR
9187) is located at the Institut Curie research centre in Orsay. It is an interdisciplinary unit dedicated to designing and synthesising molecular probes and anti-cancer drug candidates and studying their mechanisms of action. The unit comprises 50 people and is supported by:
- three research teams.
- Two cross-disciplinary divisions (modelling and biology).

Missions Our team is looking for a motivated Assistant Engineer (AE) in biology to contribute to a project involving the development of therapeutic molecules.
Description of the activities
- Ensure the culture of adherent cell lines (BS2)
- Perform cytotoxicity tests
- Perform IP1 (inositol monophosphate) dosage tests
- Perform proliferation and invasion tests
- Carry out RNA extraction and downstream analyses (RT-qPCR)
- Collaborate closely with researchers to analyze experimental data and contribute to the project's progress …/…
Candidate Profile
- Training and experience required
Education:
Bac + 2 to Bac + 3 (BTS – Professional License - BUT) - Experience:
At least 1 to 2 years of practical experience in cell culture - Knowledge Knowledge of cell and molecular biology
- Ability to analyze results obtained and write a laboratory notebook
Desired operational skills
- Apply hygiene and safety rules
- Master basic cell culture techniques in L2
- Maintain a high level of concentration during repetitive manipulations
- Demonstrate rigor in conducting experiments to ensure the quality and reliability of results
- Ensure the traceability of chemical compounds
- Skills required English proficiency: B1 to B2 IT skills:
Microsoft Suite / Prism Good organizational skills, ability to work autonomously and in a team Rigor, motivation, and enthusiasm for research
