Town of Chestertown, Maryland
Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour
The Town of Chestertown is seeking a dependable and hardworking Street Worker I to join our team. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player who takes pride in maintaining the Town's public spaces.
Responsibilities- Street and road maintenance and repairs
- Snow and ice removal
- Grass, tree, and landscaping maintenance
- Storm drain cleaning
- Street sign installation and maintenance
- Asphalt, concrete, and construction work
- Loading and unloading materials
- Trash and debris removal
- Operation of trucks, power equipment, and hand tools
- Other Public Works duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CDL
- Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Construction, maintenance, landscaping, or public works experience preferred
- Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
- Maryland State Retirement and Pension
